So, how can we regain our self-identity? The answer is.
The first step in regaining one’s sense of self is to ask oneself whether one’s mind is saying “yes” or “no” when making a decision.
The human mind is very simple.
The heart can only answer “yes” or “no”.
However, when we live on the axis of others, we lose sight of the “yes” and “no” in our own hearts.
I am not saying that you should assert yourself just because everyone around you says “yes” and your mind says “no”.
Also, when you are working, there are many times when you have to fit in with those around you.
And to say your thoughts to those around you can be a very hard thing to do for someone who lives on someone else’s axis.
So the first step is to “know yourself and your thoughts within yourself”.
Even if you say “yes” because you have no choice because everyone around you said “yes,” if you know you are really saying “no,” you can be convinced even when you don’t like something.
It is because the mind understands its own state at the present time.
When the mind understands its current state, it is easier to make sense of everything.
(In Japan, to be convinced is also called “to become clear.”)
FUNUKU means stomach.
It is said that the heart is in the chest.
To be convinced, to become fruition, means to pass through the heart (chest) and fall into the gut (stomach).
If that is the case, it cannot become clear unless the heart is convinced.
