Inner child means “the child self that lives in one’s mind,” the memories of childhood and the state of mind.
If taken literally, the term inner child means that there are both negative and positive children in the mind.
However, in Japan today, the term “inner child” is used to describe a child who hides his or her true self and continues to play some role because his or her own feelings were hurt as a child.
And inner child healing (therapy) is a healing process that uses various methods to heal hurt feelings from childhood to help people feel more comfortable and positive.
The inner heart refers to the “true or real self,” or in psychological terms, the wonder child.
You may have heard or seen the term “inner child” often, but many people are unfamiliar with the term “wonder child.
A wonder child is a born innocent and free child’s mind that is capable of expressing emotions and is vivacious, bright, lively, and creative.
Surely some of you reading this may think that if you heal the inner child, the wonder child will come out of its own accord.
But it is not that simple.
How many wounds, large and small, has the inner child suffered? This is the story.
It is a frightening number to imagine.
And the inner child, which has been wounded daily for 10 to 15 years, if we consider from childhood to adolescence, retains various negative emotions along with the wounds.
Negative feelings are layered with growth, and a separate thought from the inner child is actually created.
I have been doing Inner Heart Healing for more than 10 years and have healed more than 8,000 cases in that time.
We know this because we have been healing hearts and minds together with our clients for a long time.
What I feel after so many healings is that no matter how much you heal your inner child, you will never get back to your true self unless you dissolve these thoughts and feelings.
That is why I do my healing under the name of Inner Heart Healing, not Inner Child Healing.
To help people regain their true selves.
